Operating in over 85 countries and with a customer base of approximately 89 million, HSBC is a truly global business. Whilst priding itself on remaining relevant locally, the Group was experiencing difficulty uniting its employees during periods of adaptation and expansion.
Uffindell partnered with HSBC to undertake a global benchmarking program, facilitating focus groups and employee diaries across Europe, Asia Pacific, North and Latin America. Our research yielded observations spanning purpose, channel usage, messaging and business structure, which were used to inform how HSBC could adapt and improve employee engagement and communication strategies.
Engagement scores increased across the business, demonstrating improved understanding of the Group and individual contributions to growth and success. Uffindell supported the redesign of the Group internal communication function including a new reporting structure.
