L&Q are one of the UK’s foremost Housing Associations and developer of new homes. Uffindell was commissioned to create and develop an exciting new residential brand for one it’s flagship developments in London, The Schoolyard.

The new brand is a reflection of the sites’ long history in the community. Since the early 1900’s various schools had stood on the site of the development.

The distinctive creative expression uses imagery both emotive and exciting, combining the graphic qualities of children’s marbles and the antique photography of children at play.


The Schoolyard won Gold in the 2015 Transform Awards for the Best Visual Identity from the Property Sector.

The challenge we faced was to create a unique visual identity which would differentiate The Schoolyard from other developments in the area. The Schoolyard branding created by Uffindell does just that. It is elegant, eye-catching and relevant to the area and the creative execution of the brand across all applications has been handled beautifully.
